5 things to forget (RD1)

Pay attention to the things I have left behind and you'll know more about my shape of mind...

1) The weight of money - Money doesn't weigh hardly anything and it really is just paper and metal... I can get ya three versions of that within a stones' throw of this cabin in the woods, don't let it, and the thought of it, weight you down... Aside from the metaphor there, people put way too much weight on money and let it determine too much of what makes them happy; also too big of a percentage on our "success" pie belongs to profit in dollars... What about profiting from relationships or knowledge, both can lead to money... Put money on the back burner for a while and practice a firm hand shake with eye contact...

2) The word "I" – Obviously I need help with this one as well just from reading this alone but what this refers to mostly is doing something for someone else… Not everything is about you and what's on your mind, no one cares anyway, do something to help someone else every now and then and be surprised when it helps more than just them… Also, this one equally refers to the word I and talking about yourself constantly, I mean I know I do but I get paid to as well… Try to cut the word 'I' out of your vocabulary today, it's challenging but equally rewarding...

3) Popular people are smart! - No, no they’re not… I mean you have your exceptions but let’s not exploit them; let me back track for a second and say: for the most part your superstars, athletes that you HEAR and SEE the most aren’t’ the type people I want my daughter or son to marry… The ones you don’t hear of much and don't see everywhere are probably the smarter of the two but who really knows, what we do know is that this loud one in the news over here all the time has removed all doubt of whether or not they have a square head on their shoulders... Just because they’re popular doesn’t mean they’re smart or more importantly have any morals about themselves… Popular people are seldom level headed and often live in a complete different world than you and I... Give that popular person Scythe or a splitting mall and see how they do... Forget about it… Note: you don't have to be very smart to use either one of said tools...

4) Your sox must match! - No, they sure don’t and I’m pretty sure that if I ever do get married I will purposely ware different color sox and show them off… I mean why not? Does it really matter as long as I’m not in formal FFA attire? No, it doesn't; and the moral of that one is that I don't care what you look like or dress like; talk to me...

5) The Cloud - Everyone talks about the silver lining around the cloud over your head and I get it, but just that thought in itself and that there is small bright side of things at the edge of the big bad cloud… Naw, forget about the cloud; not everything is bad, unless you make it that way of course, there is a big-ass sun on the other side of that little bitty translucent thing that you see as a big ole black opaque thing… Of course, bad and terrible things come but they don’t hover, that’s in your mind and how its shaped… Forget about the cloud, breath deep, sun’s shinin’…
